David,
Centrifuges are a good idea - they will have to be able to generate a pretty
high G load to rupture the cell walls.
For some food oils, heating the oil is bad for the taste. I don’t know if
it will matter for our fuel oil. One more thing to test.
Someone earlier suggested the rolling […]

Hello,
If algea oil is 16,000 Btu’s per pound as has been stated by top
experts than if you have a gallon just weigh it for the Btu’s
per gallon.
Thanks,
Dave Wheeling

Is there any bioluminesent life that could be grown near to or in the
Algae so that an old mine or cavern could be flooded and cultivated
with both living light source and oil/algae? There are some mines which
are extremely hot and so could somehow be used as power. Just a thought

My understanding is that oil that is expeller pressed gets hot from
friction. Stone presses for […]

Hello Everyone.
I’m a newbie with a question that I need a little help with.
When I ask Google the question I get a lot about the various health
compounds of algae. As a concentrated food buff,
( some people call them vitamin nuts ) for about 5 decades I’m a
little familiar with that end of it.
I’m talking […]

Anand, are you referring to a biomass-to-liquid system similar to
gas-to-liquid systems that turn natural gas into liquid hydrocarbons.
Through either partial combustion or application of external heat,
organic compounds can be broken down into various gases, primarily CO
and H2. These are called "syngas" because they’re […]

Anand,
Everyone assumes the algae cake will be salable as animal feed or as an
alcohol source. There is no established market - there have been some
animal feeding trials, but no widespread use. We assume this will be an
additional source of income for the algae farm.
I would concentrate on growing and harvesting oil. Leave […]
